I'm a violist, violinist and five-string electric violinist, but I started on the viola and consider it to be my "home" instrument. Having played viola in a lot of traditional music sessions, sometimes alongside cellists, I noticed we face similar – but not identical – challenges in joining in with this music in an enjoyable and unobtrusive way.

Having made a website focused on helping violists to play folk music, I developed this site with the intention to offer cellists a similar way to access the traditional repertoire.
