This site is maintained by Helen Bell.

I'm a violist. Having played in a lot of traditional music sessions, sometimes alongside cellists, I noticed we face similar – but not identical – challenges in joining in with this music in an enjoyable and unobtrusive way.

Having made a website focused on helping violists to play folk music, I developed this site with the intention to offer cellists a similar way to access the traditional repertoire.
